Role Purpose
| |
This
role will be a key member of the Group Purchasing Department with
responsibility for specific areas of activity to support the Managed
House operations and central facilities. In addition the role will work
to identify areas of opportunity for purchasing across the Group.

Key Accountabilities
| |
- To
maximise the value of purchasing benefits within the Group and to work
cross functionally with a number of departments across the Group
- To
have day to day contact with all of the relevant suppliers and will be
responsible for managing these supplier relationships to the required
standard
- To
be responsible for identifying areas of Purchasing opportunity and
negotiation to the point of recommendation to the Senior Commodity
Manager on pricing and contractual proposals
- Maintain a detailed awareness of the marketplace identifying innovation opportunities, new potential suppliers etc
- To
complete supplier reviews, monitoring, reporting and ensuring
compliance with all contractual commitments contained within agreed
supply contracts for the suppliers in these categories
- To
control and manage supplier rebates where appropriate, briefing
affected departments and will be responsible to ensure that
rebates/o’riders are correctly invoiced to suppliers on a timely basis
and are paid by suppliers promptly in line with contractual terms
- Maintaining
a contracts database in conjunction with the Purchasing Assistant for
the suppliers for which they are responsible and also for ensuring the
accuracy of pricing by briefing pricing details and changes to the
appropriate stakeholders in an accurate & in a timely manor.

years experience of managing multiple supplier relationships, gained in
either a purchasing or marketing function (similar sector)
- Experience in managing across multiple product categories
- Demonstrable ability/success in price/contract negotiation to deliver added value
- Graduate calibre candidate

- CIPS qualified/part qualified
