Description
My client, a service sector organisation based in Nottingham is looking for a Finance Assistant to join the team.
Your main responsibilities will include –
Bank and treasury functions
Bank account ledger postings and reconciliations
Cash flow and liquidity forecasts and processing bank payments
Assisting with month end reporting process and preparation and posting monthly accounting journals
Preparation of VAT returns
Calculating employee cost accruals and interfacing payroll data into the accounting system
Assisting the accounts receivable department with invoices and revenue accruals maintaining monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ad hoc reporting
The ideal candidate will be studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT) although candidates who are qualified by experience will be considered.
Candidates must have previous experience in a finance environment including balance sheet reconciliations.
Please note the salary for this role is £16k and study support is available.
